    Abstract: PURPOSE: A semi-clutch state is determined in a manual transmission automobile to operate an intake air learning control when the clutch is separated completely. CONSTITUTION: An engine load is calculated if a first condition is satisfied, and different intake air amount by brake operating state of a driver are received. A connecting state of a clutch is decided by comparing the received air amount with a predetermined value. If it is decided as a separated clutch state, an intake air amount learning is carried out. If not, the intake air amount learning is inhibited.
