Abstract: The present invention relates to a control method for backward creep prevention for a hybrid electric vehicle. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a control method for backward creep prevention for a hybrid electric vehicle which can prevent damage to a clutch due to an excessive slip and heat of a start clutch when a soft-type hybrid vehicle adopting a CVT initially starts up on an inclined road and can prevent a vehicle from creeping backwards. In order to achieve the purpose, the control method for backward creep prevention for a hybrid electric vehicle according to the present invention comprises the following steps of: detecting accelerator pedal tip-in input from a driver when a backward creep prevention device in a vehicle operates on an inclined road; coupling a start clutch when the accelerator tip-in input is received from the driver, and determining whether an expected clutch temperature which is the estimated temperature of the start clutch increases above a first predetermined limit value; maintaining the operation of the backward creep prevention device if the expected temperature increases above the first limit value; determining whether the expected clutch temperature additionally increases above a second limit value while maintaining the operation of the backward creep prevention device; and releasing the start clutch and preventing a backward creep by maintaining the operation of the backward creep prevention device if the expected clutch temperature increases above the second limit value. Abstract: An apparatus and a method for transmitting power in a hybrid electric vehicle are provided to charge a battery by installing a planetary gear clutch for transmitting the output of power to a driving motor with an automatic transmission. An apparatus for transmitting power in a hybrid electric vehicle comprises a torque converter(300), a sun gear(510), a carrier(530), a ring gear(550), a planetary gear clutch(570), a driving motor(200), a battery(900), a generator integrated starting motor(600), and an electric oil pump(800). The torque converter having a lock-up clutch(350) is connected to an output shaft(100a) of the engine to receive power of an engine(100). The sun gear connected to an output shaft(300a) of the torque converter receives the output of the torque converter. The carrier includes plural pinions contacted to the sun gear, and transmits the power to an automatic transmission(700) to connect a rotation shaft to the input shaft of the automatic transmission. The ring gear contacted with the carrier has a planetary gear(500) with the sun gear and the carrier. The planetary gear clutch couples the sun gear with the ring gear to rotate the sun gear and the ring gear integrally. The driving motor functions as a motor or a generator to be assembled with the ring gear integrally. The battery supplies the electricity to the driving motor, or stores the electricity generated from the driving motor. The generator integrated starting motor is installed for starting of the engine and initially driving of the driving motor. The electric oil pump supplies hydraulic pressure into the automatic transmission, and maintains the lock-up of the lock-up clutch in the torque converter.
