    Abstract: PURPOSE: An engine controlling method for preventing the sudden starting of an automatic transmission vehicle is provided to protect the life of a driver and to promote the safety of a vehicle by preventing the abnormal movement of the vehicle via an electronic throttle valve control system. CONSTITUTION: An engine controlling method for preventing the sudden starting of an automatic transmission vehicle comprises the steps of deciding the stoppage state of a vehicle by receiving a vehicle speed from a vehicle speed sensor(S10), normally controlling a vehicle if the vehicle is not stopped and deciding the operation state of a parking brake if the vehicle is stopped(S20), performing a vehicle safety mode control(I10) if the parking brake is in the off state or deciding the position of a shift lever if the parking brake is not in operation(S30), and performing the vehicle safety mode control when the shift lever is in the parking or neutral range and performing the normal control(N10) if the shift lever is not in the parking or neutral range(S40). Therefore, the sudden starting of a vehicle is prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An AC generator for motor vehicle is provided to prevent deterioration of engine output and waste of electric power by selectively operating the AC generator in accordance with the electric load and driving load required for an engine. CONSTITUTION: An AC generator comprises a generator body(1) having a shaft(2) an end of which is extended outward; a pulley(5) connected to a crank shaft pulley of an engine through a belt(6); and a clutch interposed between the shaft of the generator body and the pulley. The clutch includes an electro-magnet(3) fixed at the outer periphery of the end of the shaft coupled to the rotor of the generator body; and a bearing(4) coupled to the outer periphery of the electro-magnet. The electro-magnet is turned on or off by the signal output from an electronic control unit in accordance with the size of electric load, charged state of a battery and running state of the motor vehicle, so as to rotate the pulley and electro-magnet.
