Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain highly reliable and densely recordable optical recording elements by laminating a layer A of color-forming compound and a layer B of assistant color-forming compound with a light-absorbing layer provided and making up both layers of either a monomolecular film or an accumulated film of the former respectively. CONSTITUTION:A layer-A 2 of color-forming compound and a layer-B 4 of assistant color-forming compound are laminated, and further a light-absorbing layer 3 is provided on said layer-B 4. These layers are laminates of either a monomolecular film or an accumulated film of the former. The light-absorbing layer 3 is supported on a substrate 1 and the substrate, light-absorbing layer, layer B and layer A are laminated in that order. Consequently, the titled recording element has higher packing density and also higher signal/noise ratio than the conventional element, thus improving recording reliability.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to take out a photometric result at every arbitrary minute region on a specimen, by outputting the photometric result only when a sampling pulse is generated while laser beam spot is moved on the specimen. CONSTITUTION:Laser beam is condensed to a specimen cell 3 and a specimen 4 by a lens system 10 and secondary beam transmitted therethrough is received by a photomultiplier unit 6. This specimen cell 3 is vibrated at a constant cycle by a vibration control unit 5 and a locus forms a line at a laser beam spot position on the specimen cell 3 and the specimen 4. A sampling trigger unit 12 generates a sampling trigger pulse (c) in synchronous relation to the control signal of the vibration control unit 5 and a sampling pulse alpha is generated on the basis of said pulse (c) to output a photometric result at every minute region. Furthermore, a photocurrent signal (b) contains a specimen signal (g) based on the secondary beam transmitted through the holding surface of the specimen 4 and a reference signal (f) based on the secondary beam transmitted through the non- holding surface of the specimen 4.
