    Abstract: Mouldable and vulcanisable rubber mixtures are made containing a rubber (A) which still contains double bonds and which is cross-linkable by means of sulphur and a vulcanization accelerator or a mixture of rubber (A) with a different rubber (B), 0.2 to 10 parts of sulphur, 0.2 to 10 parts of a vulcanization accelerator and 1.0 to 10 parts of a bis-(alkoxysilylalkyl)polysulfide. There can also be present a silicate filler and/or a carbon black filler of rubber. The rubber mixtures have the silane, vulcanization accelerator and sulphur, calculated as S8 present in a molar ratio which causes the rubber mixture to have a reversion R=O (+/-5%) resulting from the cross-linking isotherm at the vulcanization temperature where the reversion R is calculated according to Formula II in which Dmax is the maximum vulcameter moment of rotation Dmin is the minimum vulcameter moment of rotation D(max+60 min) is the vulcameter moment of rotation measured 60 minutes after the appearance of the maximum moment of rotation. There is also disclosed the process of vulcanizing the above-mentioned rubber mixtures or moulding compositions and forming vehicle tires using the rubber mixtures.

    Abstract: The invention provides a silane/filler preparation, consisting of from 5 to 70% by weight of at least one silane corresponding to the following formula in which X is a halogen atom, p is 1 or 2, m is 1 to 5, R1 is a C1-C5-alkyl group, C5-C8-cycloalkyl group or a phenyl group, R is a C1-C5-alkyi group, a C5-C8-cycloalkyl group, a phenyl group or a benzyl group and n is 0, 1 or 2, and respectively balanced to 100% from 95 to 30% by weight of at least one inorganic filler. The invention also provides a process for the production of a silane/filler preparation which comprises introducing at least one carbon black and/or at least one silicate filler in powder form into a powder m ?xer in a quantity of from 95 to 30% by weight, after which at least one liquid silane as defined above is address in a quantity of from 5 to 70% by weight, respectively balanced to 100% relative to the filler, followed by brief intensive mixing until a powder-form or granular free-flowing preparation is formed. The preparation is used in optionally crosslinkable polymeric moulding compositions or vulcanisable or cross-linkable rubber moulding compositions such as sulphur-vulcanisable moulding compositions based on natural rubber and/or synthetic rubber.

    Abstract: The preparation according to the invention comprises resorcinol and at least one carbon black in homogeneous distribution. The preparation is preferably in the form of beads or granulates. The preferred granular form is attained when the resorcinol has an average particle size of 0.10 to 0.40 mm or is reduced to this average particle size during the production process. Furnace blacks having a specific particle surface area of approximately 40 to 120 square metres per gram, an average primary particle size of 20 to 45 nm and a dibutyl phthalate absorption of 45 to 130 millilitres per 100 grams are preferred as carbon blacks. The preparation according to the invention preferably has a weight ratio of carbon black to resorcin between 70 to 30 and 30 to 70. The upper limit of this weight ratio is 95 to 5. The process for producing the resorcinfiller preparation is also disclosed. Preferably two process steps are carried out namely a) first a treatment of the resorcinol which is in form of the usual platelets or small lumps, jointly with the powdered carbon black in a high speed mixer for several seconds and b) then preferably in another low-speed mixer while the product formed assumes a bead-like shape if the above condition of average particle size of the resorcinol is maintained. The resorcinol can also be applied in the molden form. For the use of the liquid resorcinol the high speed mixer has a heating device and, when required a cooling device, as well as a propeller type or a rough mixing tool. The use of the preparation of rubber adhesion mixtures for improving the adhesion of rubber vulcanizates on metal, textiles or glass fibre structures is also disclosed.
