    Abstract: An aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution comprises less than 50 wppm alkali metals and/or alkaline earth metals, less than 50 wppm amines having a pkB of less than 4.5 or the protonated compounds in total, and >= 100 wppm anions or compounds that can dissociate to form anions in total. An independent claim is also included for a method for the preparation of the hydrogen peroxide solution comprising: (a) hydrogenation of a working solution comprising organic solvent(s) and active anthraquinone compound(s); (b) oxidation of the hydrogenated working solution to form hydrogen peroxide; (c) extraction of hydrogen peroxide with water; (d) stabilizing the extracted aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution; (e) concentrating the aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution to a concentration of hydrogen peroxide of >= 50 wt.%; (f) drying of the working solution; and (g) regeneration and purification of the working solution.

    Abstract: The present invention refers to a process for the catalytic epoxidation of olefins in the presence of a titanium containing zeolite catalyst and a polar solvent whereby the deactivation of the catalyst upon recycling of the solvent has been considerably reduced. In the process one or more nitrogen containing compounds are introduced at some stage, a solvent stream is recovered, treated to contain less than 50 wppm nitrogen in the form of organic nitrogen compounds and at least a part of it is recycled to the epoxidation step. The invention is also directed towards a process for the catalytic epoxidation of propene which integrates the inventive treatment and recycle of the solvent into the workup of the reaction mixture.

A process for the hydrogenation of aromatic urethanes having one or more aromatic rings and at least one urethane group that is directly and/or indirectly bonded to at least one aromatic ring, comprises reaction of the aromatic urethanes with hydrogen in the presence of a supported catalyst (I) comprising 0.01-20 wt.% ruthenium, optionally with at least one Group 1, 7 or 8 metal as the active metal on a support having a BET surface area of 30-70 m2/g and greater than 50 % of the pore volume comprising macropores having a pore diameter of greater than 50 nm and less than 50 % mesopores having a pore diameter of 2-50 nm.
