Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a packaging apparatus which can be structured with its paper feeding system simplified, while obviating a specific mechanism for discharging paper waste. CONSTITUTION: A paper feeding mechanism 1 that transfers continuous wrapping paper 3 unwound from a primary roll 4 through a package processing position P, a receiving stand 17 that sustain from below and hold together with the wrapping paper 3 a substance W to be wrapped supplied to the wrapping paper 3 on the package processing position P, a wrapping paper gathering-up means which wraps up the substance W to be wrapped on the receiving stand 17 with the wrapping paper 3 gathered up, and a sealing mechanism 20 that cuts the wrapping paper 3 at its gathered-up part and applies sealing thereto are provided. The paper feeding mechanism 1 is constructed of a front feed roller 6 provided in front of the package processing position P and driven and released from driving and a rear feed roller 7 provided behind the package processing position P and riven independently in forward and reverse and released from driving, and is equipped with a tensioning means which gives resistance to movement of the wrapping paper 3 in front of and behind the package processing position P.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a harvester unit capable of avoiding roller lock only by a simple modification such as attachment of a soil-scraping member for performing a scraping action on a roller and making it possible to have a unit for keeping an excellent operation of a positioning and conveying mechanism at low cost. CONSTITUTION:In a carrot harvester in which the running machine body is equipped with a recovery unit, a grader unit and a running machine body, a positioning and conveying mechanism 8a for arranging the head part positions of carrots has a structure in which many rotating rollers 8ac supported with a chain 8aa, energized and projected therefrom are arranged right and left and faced to each other so as to nip the stem and leaf part. Four rollers 8ac are supported with a roller support bracket 8ae energized and projected from the chain 8aa. A soil-scraping member 5 for performing a scraping action on the outer periphery of the roller 8ac is attached to the return passage of the chain 8aa and a circular-shaped cut is formed at the top part of the soil-scraping member 5 so that the scraping action may be applied to both an outer periphery part (Rs) of the roller positioned at the stem and leaf part facing to the chain 8aa and another outer periphery part (Rh) of the roller positioned at the top part of the carrot body.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make moving operation smooth even if a foreign material is engaged with a holding member of a held wrapping sheet difficult to move by removing two actuators and compressed air while being squeezed in a pack ing apparatus for dropping an object to be packed into an opening together with the sheet to have the sheet gathered. CONSTITUTION:When an object A to be packed is dropped from an opening 2a of a wrapping table 2 with the object mounted on a wrapping sheet onto a support table 3, compressed air is removed while being squeezed from a first actuator 9 by a first driving means to have the first actuator 9 operated with applied force of a spring. When the support table 3 lowers and stops on a lower side of a holding member 14, compressed air is removed while being squeezed from a second actuator by a second driving means to have the second actuator operated with applied force of the spring, so as to operate a pair of holding members 14 to a closed position. Then the wrapping sheet 1 is held not to open by a sealing means, the support table 3 is returned to a raised position, and the holding members 14 return to an initial open.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To determine a state wherein a rolled transparent adhesive tape has been consumed to be replaced by providing a controller for reflecting and receiving detection light to and from the adhesive tape of a wrapping apparatus for holding and gathering up an upper end part of a wrapping sheet which has dropped into an opening while being wrapped by the wrapping sheet from a lateral direction to have it sealed. CONSTITUTION:A wrapping sheet is dropped into an opening together with an object to be wrapped and gathered up, and it is tightly sealed by an adhesive tape 4 cut in a predetermined length. An opening 8b is provided on an upper side of a light projector 21 and a light receiver 22 of a frame 8 on a side for fixing a wrapping apparatus, while an opening 5a is provided on a support member 5 for the adhesive tape 4. When the support member 5 for the adhesive tape 4 is fixed, the opening 5a of the support member 5 is positioned at the opening 8b position. Correspondingly, a reflecting plate 23 is fixed to a ceiling plate 17 of the frame 8, so that when the adhesive tape exists detection light projected from the light projector 21 passes through the openings 8b, 5a, transmits through the transparent adhesive tape 4 between a support 6 and a holder 37 and comes against the reflecting plate 23 to be received by the light receiver 22.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate an idle motion for packing, by actuating a drawing means by a manual tool when placing the first packing sheet on a packing table by a drawing means, in a packing method in which a packing article is fed from the upper side and enveloped with a contracted packing sheet. CONSTITUTION:A spherical packing article like a cabbage is dropped into the opening 2a formed on a packing table 2. A packing sheet 1 is contracted at the outer edge of the opening to envelop the article which is supported from the lower side by a vertically movable support bed. In the lowering motion of this support base, when it is judged that the article A has passed through the position of a pair of holding members, time holding members are closed to nip the upper part of the packing sheet 1 and wring it. The packing sheet 1 is unfolded on the packing table 2 by the drawing means 38 and if a manual tool is operated when no articles are detected on the support base by a sensor, only the drawing means 38 is actuated.
