Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that facilitate active queue management of internet-protocol data packets generated in a data packet switched wirele ss network. Queue management can be effected in a serving base station as we ll as in an access terminal, and the application that generates the data pac kets can be executed locally or remotely to either the base station or acces s terminal. Management of the generated data packets is effected via a marki ng/dropping of data packets according to an adaptive response function that can be deterministic or stochastic, and can depend of multiple communication generalized indicators, which include packet queue size, queue delay, chann el conditions, frequency reuse, operation bandwidth, and bandwidth-delay pro duct. Historical data related to the communication generalized indicators ca n be employed to determine response functions via thresholds and rates for m arking/dropping data packets.

Abstract: Las modalidades aqui descritas se refieren a transferencia de sesion de radio en estado conectado en comunicaciones inalambricas; un controlador de red de acceso puede bloquear una sesion de radio fuente asociada con una terminal de acceso (por ejemplo, en respuesta a la deteccion de una condicion de transferencia asociada con la terminal de acceso), en donde el controlador de red de acceso fuente puede estar en comunicacion con una red de datos; el controlador de red de acceso fuente tambien puede ordenar a un controlador de red de acceso objetivo crear una sesion de radio objetivo correspondiente con la sesion de radio fuente, y establecer una ruta de comunicacion entre la red de datos y la red de acceso a traves del ANC; el controlador de red de acceso fuente puede entonces congelar un estado asociado con la sesion de radio fuente y transmite el estado congelado al controlador de red de acceso objetivo; el controlador de red de acceso objetivo posteriormente puede descongelar el estado recibido y desbloquear la sesion de radio, reasumiendo asi el control de la terminal de acceso.

A first node (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may receive a timing synchronization signal from a second node (e.g., a base station) over a cellular wireless communication link. In some aspects, the timing synchronization signal may indicate mapping information to synchronize the first node with the second node. The mapping information may be for synchronizing a first time of a first clock of the first node to a second time of a second clock of a second node. The first node may synchronize the first time of the first clock to the second time of the second clock based at least in part on the mapping information and the synchronization information. The first node may transmit a timing control based on a timing of the second clock to a device connected to the first node via a local wired interface.
