Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a first user terminal. The first user terminal receives, on a first DL communication channel of multiple DL communication channels, a DL MU PPDU includes MPDUs transmitted from an access point to multiple user terminals including the first user terminal on the multiple DL communication channels. The first user terminal obtains an UL channel indication and a BA indication. The first user terminal transmits, on a first UL communication channel of multiple UL communication channels, a first BA to the access point based on the UL channel indication and the BA indication simultaneously or concurrently with a BA transmission from the rest of the multiple user terminals to the access point on the rest of the multiple UL communication channels. The first BA acknowledges one or more of the MPDUs.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. A wireless device may identify an upcoming interference period, determine a receive end time based on when the interference period will begin to disrupt incoming messages, and transmit a scheduling outlook message to a transmitter to schedule around the interference in response to receiving a packet (request-to-send (RTS) or data). The wireless device may hash a receiver address (RA) associated with the packet exchange message such as a clear-to-send message or a block acknowledgement to make room for the scheduling outlook message. An example scheduling outlook field (in the place of the full RA field) may include a shortened RA, a number of supported spatial streams, a supported bandwidth, a set of tone allocation units (TAUs), a receive end time (or receive duration), and an interference level.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for allocating multi-user resources are provided. In one aspect, the disclosure provides for a method of wireless communication with a plurality of wireless stations. The method comprises transmitting, by an access point, a first communication to a first wireless station, the first communication comprising an indication of a group of wireless stations from among the plurality of wireless stations, the group of wireless stations comprising the first wireless station. The method further comprises receiving, by the access point, a second communication from the first wireless station. The method further comprises transmitting, by the access point, a third communication to the group of wireless stations, the third communication comprising data for the group of wireless stations. In certain aspects, the third communication comprises a block acknowledgment of at least a portion of the second communication.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to station backoff behavior in uplink (UL) multiple user (MU) operations. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide an apparatus for wireless communications. The apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to generate an unsolicited single user (SU) frame for transmission to an access point (AP) while the apparatus is configured to communicate with the AP via MU transmissions and a transmit interface configured to output the unsolicited SU frame for transmission. Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide another apparatus for wireless communications. The apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to contend for access to a medium by generating a first frame to trigger MU transmissions from a plurality of apparatuses and a transmit interface configured to output the first frame for transmission.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for aggregating multi-user media access control protocol data units (MPDU) frame in a wireless network are provided. One aspect of this disclosure provides a method of wireless communication. The method includes generating, by an apparatus, an aggregated media access control protocol data unit (A-MPDU) frame comprising a plurality of media access control protocol data unit (MPDU) frames. A first MPDU frame of the plurality of MPDU frames is intended for at least a first device of a first type and a second MPDU frame of the plurality of MPDU frames is intended for at least a second device of a second type. The method further comprises inserting a value that is not defined for the second device into a media access control (MAC) header field of the first MPDU frame intended for the first device or the second MPDU frame intended for the second device.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplink are provided. In one aspect, a method of transmitting a physical layer convergence protocol data unit on a wireless medium includes generating a first portion and a second portion of the physical layer convergence protocol data unit, transmitting the first portion at a first data rate, the first portion decodable by a first and second sets of devices, and transmitting the second portion at a second data rate higher than the first data rate, the second portion decodable by the second set of devices.
Abstract:
Methods, devices, and computer program products for traffic information signaling in a wireless communication network are disclosed. In one aspect, a method of communicating within a wireless communication network is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a transmitting device, a request for buffer information from an access point. The method further includes generating at least one of a buffer size or a transmission time, the buffer size or the transmission time comprising information indicating an amount of data that the transmitting device has buffered for transmission in a multiple-user packet to the access point. The method further includes transmitting the at least one of the buffer size or the transmission time to the access point. In some aspects, the at least one of the buffer size or the transmission time is transmitted within a Very High Throughput (VHT) control field.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for synchronizing a global time reference for access points over the air are provided. In one aspect, a method for synchronizing a global time of an access point comprises receiving a message comprising a global time indication from a second access point. The method further includes updating the global time of the access point to the global time indication from the second access point by updating a timer of the access point by an increment not to exceed a predetermined value selected small enough to ensure a maintenance of synchronization between the access point and at least one associated wireless station. The global time of the access point is updated to the global time indication from the second access point when the global time indication from the second access point indicated a later global time than the global time of the access point.
