    Abstract: The present invention relates to a video signal processor with progressive scan. According to the invention, it comprises a delay means receiving a video signal Y1 at a given line frequency and producing a first output signal Yd delayed by an interval of one frame minus a half-line, a second output signal delayed by an interval of one frame plus a half-line and a third output signal delayed by an interval of a double frame; a first means 66,68 averages the first and second video signals; a second means 62, 64 averages the input signal and the third video output signal; a third means 70, 72, 74 undertakes the high-pass filtering of the first averaged signal and the low-pass filtering of the second averaged signal and combines them; and a means of acceleration 82, 84, 86, 88, 90, 92 compresses the first output signal as well as the interpolated output signal and intercalates lines of the signals compressed in time to form a non-interlaced video signal Y2 with double the line frequency. The invention applies in particular to television.

Two RAMs per channel can be used, one processing the signal, while the other has its transfer function changed.     Abstract: An apparatus for correcting errors in color signal transitions includes a signal scaling device and a signal mixing device. A wide bandwidth luminance signal is applied to the signal scaling device which develops a limiting signal for a particular narrow bandwidth color difference or primary color signal. This limiting signal is mixed with its associated color difference or primary color signal by the signal mixing device. The output of the signal mixing device is a color difference or primary color signal that has amplitude values less than or equal to the amplitude values of the limit signal.
