Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic sound volume adjusting device capable of eliminating sound volume adjustment at every channel selection, or in the broadcast of CM, or every exchange of a CD, and being comprised inexpensively by automatically adjusting a sound volume level based on the one set by a user when the sound volume levels of audio signals inputted to an acoustic device and a receiver are different from each other. CONSTITUTION:The sound volume level of an audio output signal So outputted from a sound volume adjusting circuit 2 is detected by a sound volume detection circuit 3 at need, and it is compared with a preset sound volume level stored in a sound volume level memory circuit 4 by a sound volume level comparator 5. When difference between both sound volume levels exists, a differential sound volume level is adjusted by the sound volume adjusting circuit 2. In other words, the sound volume adjustment so as to increase the sound volume level of an audio input signal Si by the differential sound volume level is performed when a preset sound volume level set at a user side exceeds the sound volume level. As a result, the signal So with sound volume level set in advance is outputted from the sound volume adjusting circuit 2 in spite of the size of the audio input signal Si.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To automatically switch an antenna in accordance with each selected channel. CONSTITUTION:The field intensity is monitored based on the AGC signal outputted from an intermediate frequency amplifying circuit 1c in a state where a signal received through an antenna 3 is selected by a switch 2f and outputted to a CRT 1e. Then the switch 2f is automatically switches to a VTR channel RF modulator 2e when the field intensity is reduced less than a reference level. At the same time, the field intensity is monitored based on the AGC signal outputted from the circuit 1c in a state where the signal received from the modulator 2e is selected by the switch 2f and outputted to the CRT 1e. Then the switch 2f is automatically switched to a two-distributor 2a (antenna 3) when the field intensity is reduced less than the reference level.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the side effect of signal processing such as blur of a picture by superimposing picture contrast information onto a control signal and applying stronger control toward darker component and weaker control toward lighter component. CONSTITUTION:A video signal with a polarity going to a low level at a bright part and to a high level at a dark part is superimposed onto a control voltage at a control terminal 1c through a coupling comprising a resistor R3 and a capacitor C3 by utilizing principles that slurring or noise is strongly visible in the dark part in the picture but not eminent in the bright part in general. Thus, the control voltage changes to a high level at the dark part of the picture and changes to a low level at the bright part. Thus, the control degree of sharpness is applied more strongly to the dark part where slurring or noise is eminent on the pattern and the degree is weaker at the bright part where they are not eminent conversely, then the side effect of a blur picture is suppressed.

When the white level peak value is detected, the gamma correcting circuit 20 is turned on, namely, the gamma correction is continuously controlled so as to be intensified. The CPU 22, after the detection of the white level peak, controls to lower or raise picture adjusting voltage to a color density control circuit and a contrast control circuit in a video signal processing circuit 1 through a digital/analog converting circuit D/A 23 to end.

When a broadcast signal Vo selected by the tuners 2,3 is displayed and the AGC signal represents a weak electric field, the loop gain of the AFC circuit 13 is decreased, when video signals V1, V2 supplied from the external video source are displayed, a video tape recorder as a kind of the external video source is preset to increase the loop gain of the AFC circuit 13. Thus, an optimum picture quality is always obtained automatically.

Based on a value (constant 1) to be the standard of brightness obtained in such a manner and the value (constant 2) similarly obtained from the AGC voltage, the adjusting data whose parameter is the constant 1, for instance, is read out from a ROM 17, and the control signal is determined by executing the arithmetic processing of the read out adjusting data and the constant 2.

When the mode setting key 2 is turned to the position of learning, a mode changeover switch 17 is switched to the learning function mode and a microcomputer 11 is set to the learning function mode. The learning function, the voice transmission function and the two-way communication function are provided to the commander to attain multi-function commander.
