    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element having high luminance and emitting stable red light by including a distyryl compound serving as an organic light-emitting material in an organic layer arranged between a positive electrode and a negative electrode and provided with a light-emitting area. SOLUTION: An organic layer of an organic electric field light-emitting element includes at least one of distyryl compounds represented by formula I. For example, a compound represented by formula III is used. These illustrated compounds have both of electron transport performance and hole transport performance, so that the organic layer can be used as a light-emitting layer which serves as an electron carrying layer or a light-emitting layer serving as a hole transport layer in the element structure. In the formula, R1 and R2 are represent groups in the formula II (R4-R8 are each a hydrogen group, an alkoxyl group, an alkyl group, an amino group, an alkylamino group); R3 is a hydrogen group, an alkoxyl group, an alkyl group, an amino group, an alkylamino group, or an aryl group; X is an aryl group or a hydrocarbon group.

SOLUTION: An organic layer having a luminescent region is arranged between an anode and a cathode. A distyryl compound represented by formula I is included as an organic luminescent material in the organic layer. In formula I, R1, R4 are the same or different group, and an aryl group represented by formula II. In formula II, R9-R13 are the same or different group, are a hydrogen atom or at least one of them is a saturated or unsaturated alkoxy group or alkyl group. In formula I, R2, R3 are the same or different group, and an aryl group represented by formula III. In formula III, R14-R20 are the same or different group, are a hydrogen atom or at least one of them is a saturated or unsaturated alkoxy group or alkyl group. In formula I, R5-R8 are the same of different group, and at least one of them is a cyano group, a nitro group, or a halogen atom.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a reflecting layer hard to bring about scratches and abrasion by forming a reflecting layer comprising pigment and a polymer material on a transparent substrate in which the irregularities corresponding to an information signal are formed and containing nitrocellulose as the polymer material. CONSTITUTION:A pigment containing layer 3 comprising at least a pigment material and a polymer material is formed as a reflecting layer on a substrate 2 in which a recessed pit part 4 and a projecting land part 5 corresponding to an information signal, a guide groove and an address code pit are formed. In this optical information medium reading light beams LB radiated from the substrate 1 side are respectively reflected by the boundary surface 8 between the substrate 1 and the pigment containing layer 3 and by the boundary surface 7 between the pigment containing layer and air, and signal reproduction is performed by utilizing multiple interference. Therefore, the reproduction of a signal is performed by utilizing that the light beams are reflected by the boundary surface 7 between the pigment containing layer and air to cause multiple interference. When the faults of shape such as scratches and abrasion are brought about, the multiple interference of light falls into disorder and the signal reproduction is hindered, and however, nitrocellulose is used for the pigment layer 3 as a polymer material, thereby improving the characteristic of scratch resistance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information medium causing no scratch or wear to the reflecting layer and capable of maintaining satisfactory reproducing characteristics by using silicone varnish as a high polymer material forming a dye-contg. layer. CONSTITUTION:The dye-contg. layer 3 consisting of at least a dye material and the high polymer material is formed as a reflecting layer on a substrate 1 with an information signal, a guide groove, pits 2a corresponding to address code pits and lands 2b. Silicone varnish is used as the high polymer material constituting the layer 3 and the layer 3 is formed as follows; silicone varnish and the dye material dissolved once in a solvent are further dissolved in a solvent to prepare a dye-contg. soln., the substrate is coated with the soln. and the solvents are removed from the resulting coating film by drying. By this drying, the silicone varnish causes a condensation reaction at OH groups as functional groups and the layer 3 insoluble in a solvent and having high hardness is formed. The layer 3 is not scratched or worn.
