    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain synthetic fiber staples having no crimp at the ends thereof, at a high speed, by eliminating the crimps at the desired part at a desired interval in the long direction in a continuous crimped synthetic fibrous bundle, and cutting the part without crimps. CONSTITUTION:A crimped synthetic fibrous bundle 5 is fed to a tenser apparatus 1, spread and fed to a crimp eliminating apparatus 7 to eliminate the crimps thereof from a part pressed by recesses (7a) and (7a') of heated embossing rollers 7 in the apparatus 7. The bundle 5 without crimps is then sent to a cutting apparatus 6, and the bundle 5, held by wheels 11 and a holding wheel 12 is cut at the center of the uncrimped part. The amount of the bundle 5' to be fed to the cutting apparatus 6 is adjusted by a sensing part 10 and a controlling roller 8 to control the cutting position.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the productivity, prevent the damage of the die and simplify the exchanging work of the die by a method wherein inside and outside discharging die are detachably attached to the inside and the outside main dice. CONSTITUTION:The inside discharging die 3 and the outside discharging die 4 are secured respectively to the inside main dice 1 and the outside main die 2 which constitutes the main die with the bolts A, B. Resin, poured from introducing holes 5, 6, is joined at an annular passageway 12 and is discharged from openings 7, 8 of respective inside and outside discharging die 3, 4. The inside elements 1, 3 and the outside elements 2, 4 are rotated mutually at boundaries of sliding surfaces 9,9', 10,10', therefore, linear resins discharged from the openings 7, 8 become a cylindrical reticulated body. The main bodies 1, 2 having the main sliding surfaces 9,9' can be constituted with thicker durable materials, therefore, the damage of them is very little. The die 3, 4 can be exchanged easily with other die by only tightening with the bolts.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:Specific amounts of a thermosetting resin and an inorganic fibrous material are incorporated to rubber to produce vibration-controlling materials that are suibtably used for engines and living houses because of their excellent vibration- control and form-retention properties and flexibility over a wide temperature range from room temperature to relatively high temperatures. CONSTITUTION:To (A) 100 parts by wt of a rubber as nitrile rubber are incorported (B) 10 - 100, preferably 20 - 80 parts of a thermosetting resin giving a dynamic elasticity of at least 10 dyne/cm at 100 deg.C after cured and (C) 100 - 400, preferably 100 - 300 parts of an inorganic fibrous material as fiberglass or asbestos and/or scaly inorganic mateial as graphite or mica. The composition is kneaded at a temperature over the softening point of the resin, then made into sheets and cured. The addition of metal fibers, preferably lead metal fibers improves further the vibration-control properties. EFFECT:Said composition keeps flexiblity even after cured and is readily applied to curved surfaces.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:Metal fibers are dispersed into a sealer to produce said high-density sealing material with excellent sound insulating property. CONSTITUTION:Metal fibers of 500 micron or less, preferably less than 200 micron diameter and 0.5-30, preferably 1-15mm. length are incorporated to a sealer such as organic sealer, e.g., polyurethane, polysuligide or inorganic sealer, e.g., clay or mortar to make the density of the material 2, preferably 3 or more. USE:Sound insulating materials, antistatic materials, materials preventing the leak and scatterning of X-rays and radiation, or materials for reflecting or shielding from electromagnetic waves.
