Abstract:
A device for treatment of premature ejaculation or stimulation of a male organ includes an elastic sleeve mounted within a housing, at least one aperture formed on the elastic sleeve, and at least one liquid-absorbing member held between the housing and the elastic sleeve over the at least one aperture. The at least one liquid-absorbing member is adapted to soak up a liquid with a temperature higher or lower than the body temperature of a user and deliver the liquid through the at least one aperture and into the elastic sleeve when the at least one liquid-absorbing member is squeezed by a male organ of the user frictionally moving to-and-fro inside the elastic sleeve, thereby stimulating the male organ and reducing the sensitivity thereof.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator with high sterilizability and capable of continuously discharging mist at a temperature near a normal temperature. SOLUTION: A facial treatment device 1 includes a mist generating section 30 generating mist from a liquid fed from a liquid feeding path 3, a zinc electrode 27 eluting zinc ions into the liquid in the liquid reservoir section 21 by electrolysis, and a heater 22 for heating the liquid held in the liquid reservoir section 21, and discharges the mist generated in the mist generating section 30 from a discharging outlet 2c. The facial treatment device 1 has a cooling section 23 for cooling the liquid heated by the heater 22 by passing the liquid through the same. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), lower extremity edema, and other associated medical conditions. SOLUTION: A blood flow is increased by adjusting the temperature of the muscles of a foot 108 or a leg, and/or applying vacuum or negative pressure, so that a human extremity such as a leg is exposed to a negative pressure environment and/or a thermally controlled environment within a medical device. In one aspect, the medical device is portable. A thermal exchange unit and, optionally, a vacuum or negative pressure unit, are provided to increase blood flow and vasodilation. The device can be programmed by a controller 160 in a manner to stimulate the muscles of the extremity to reduce pooling of blood therein. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage unit for the feet which achieves a higher massage effect for the treated persons by making the massage unit for the calves tiltable and/or vertically silidable. SOLUTION: In the massage unit for the feet in which the massage unit 80 for the calves for massaging the calves of the treated persons is tiltably linked to the base end of the massage unit 10 for the toes for massaging the toes of the treated persons with a link mechanism 90, the link mechanism 90 applies a rotary force in the direction of making the massage unit for the calves rise relative to the massage unit 10 for the toes. The link mechanism 90 links the massage unit 80 for the calves to the massage unit 10 for the toes so as to be slidable vertically. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices used to treat eyelids, meibomian glands, ducts, and surrounding tissue are described herein. In some embodiments, an eye treatment device is disclosed, which includes a scleral shield positionable proximate an inner surface of an eyelid, the scleral shield being made of, or coated with, an energy-absorbing material activated by a light energy, and an energy transducer positionable outside of the eyelid, the energy transducer configured to provide light energy at one or more wavelengths, including a first wavelength selected to heat the energy-absorbing material. Wherein, when the eyelid is positioned between the energy transducer and the scleral shield, the light energy from the energy transducer and the heated energy-absorbing material of the scleral shield conductively heats a target tissue region sufficiently to melt meibum within meibomian glands located within or adjacent to the target tissue region.
Abstract:
A combination therapy pad that includes a first layer and a second layer operatively coupled to the first layer. A fiber-optic array is disposed between the first layer and the second layer. A third layer is operatively coupled to the first layer. The third layer includes a vacuum tube in fluid communication with a vacuum source and an oxygen tube in fluid communication with an oxygen source. The third layer provides at least one of vacuum therapy and oxygen treatment to a wound area.
