Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly with a filter housing and at least one filter cartridge. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering medium for filters which increases the amount of dust trap of the filtering medium for filters to trap dust with good balance by a non-woven fabric layer 12 at the upstream and a filtering medium layer 14 at the downstream. SOLUTION: The filtering medium for filters is composed of the non-woven fabric layer 12 at the upstream and the filtering medium layer 14 at the downstream and traps dust in air. The non-woven fabric layer 12 is constituted of a spun resin fiber. The fiber diameter of the resin fiber is set between 2.5 μm-10 μm and the amount of the basis weight which is the weight per unit area of the non-woven fabric layer is set between 2.5 g/m 2 -15 g/m 2 . The filtering medium layer 14 has a texture finer than the non-woven fabric layer 12.
