Abstract: A graft copolymer capable of providing impact resistance, flame retardance, and color rendering properties to a thermoplastic resin is described. The graft copolymer contains a polyorganosiloxane, and is obtained by graft-polymerizing vinyl monomers including a (meth)acrylate ester (b1) having an alkyl group or an aromatic group and an aromatic vinyl monomer (b2) on a polyorganosiloxane-based rubber. The graft copolymer has a volume average particle diameter of 200-2000 nm, and contains 0.1-69 mass % of polyorganosiloxane. A thermoplastic resin composition is also described, containing a thermoplastic resin (A), the graft copolymer, a fluorine resin (C) and a flame retardant (D). A molded article is also described, which is obtained by molding the thermoplastic resin composition.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a poly(arylene ether) resin composition and a cable coated with the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a poly(arylene ether) resin composition, including 20 to 40% by weight of a poly(arylene ether) resin, 15 to 35% by weight of a low-molecular weight styrene-based block copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 90,000 g/mol or less, 10 to 30% by weight of a high-molecular weight styrene-based block copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 95,000 g/mol or more, 1 to 20% by weight of a flame retardant, and 0 to 20% by weight of an additive.In accordance with the present invention, a poly(arylene ether) resin composition having superior flame retardancy, tensile strength, flexibility, extrusion processability, elongation, and appearance characteristics and a cable coated with the same are provided.

Abstract: A high-CTI and halogen-free epoxy resin composition for copper-clad plates and uses thereof is provided. The formula of the high-CTI and halogen-free epoxy resin composition for copper-clad plates comprises 100˜140 parts of halogen-free phosphorous epoxy resin, 10˜35 parts of dicyclopentadiene phenolic epoxy resin, 32˜60 parts of benzoxazine, 1˜5 parts of phenolic resin, 0.05˜0.5 parts of accelerants; and 25˜70 parts of fillers, by weight. The copper-clad plates, prepared according to embodiments of the present invention, can reach the requirements of high CTI (CTI≧500V), high heat resistance(Tg≧150 ° C., PCT, 2 h>6 min) and the level of flame retardance of UL-94 V0, and they are widely used in the electronic materials of electric machines, electric appliances, white goods and so on.
