Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for an unmanned aerial system inspection system. One of the methods is performed by a UAV and includes receiving, by the UAV, flight information describing a job to perform an inspection of a rooftop. A particular altitude is ascended to, and an inspection of the rooftop is performed including obtaining sensor information describing the rooftop. Location information identifying a damaged area of the rooftop is received. The damaged area of the rooftop is traveled to. An inspection of the damaged area of the rooftop is performed including obtaining detailed sensor information describing the damaged area. A safe landing location is traveled to.

Abstract: An alpha channel is added in addition to multiple channels forming an image of an item. A second pixel value differing from a first pixel value, which is assigned to a defect-free region, is assigned to a region corresponding to a defect region in the alpha channel. The image including the alpha channel is divided into multiple image segments. A defect label is assigned to the image segment in which the second pixel value is included in the alpha channel, and a non-defect label is assigned to the image segment, in which the second pixel value is not included in the alpha channel. The alpha channel is removed from the image segments to generate labeled image segment data.

Abstract: In various examples, a computer-implemented method of generating instructions for a welding robot. The computer-implemented method comprises identifying an expected position of a candidate seam on a part to be welded based on a Computer Aided Design (CAD) model of the part, scanning a workspace containing the part to produce a representation of the part, identifying the candidate seam on the part based on the representation of the part and the expected position of the candidate seam, determining an actual position of the candidate seam, and generating welding instructions for the welding robot based at least in part on the actual position of the candidate seam.

Abstract: An individual identification apparatus includes a setting means for setting an imaging condition for imaging a matching area of an object by a camera, an acquisition means for acquiring a matching image that is an image obtained by imaging the matching area of the object by the camera, a matching means for performing matching between the matching image and a registration image registered in advance, and a control means. The matching means identifies an individual based on the matching image captured under the determined imaging condition.
