Abstract: La presente invención se refiere a una batería recargable bipolar de iones de aluminio y a sus usos asociados. Dicha batería es capaz de producir un voltaje hasta un 200% superior al de las baterías recargables de iones de aluminio convencionales gracias al tipo de materiales seleccionados para los electrodos y al apilamiento en tipo "sándwich" de las celdas electroquímicas que la conforman mediante el empleo de colectores de corriente de grafito compartidos entre celdas adyacentes. Esta configuración reduce de manera efectiva la resistencia interna logrando una mayor densidad de potencia y un mayor número de ciclos de carga y descarga sin un rápido deterioro de la capacidad de almacenamiento de energía de la batería.

Said battery is capable of producing a voltage up to 200% higher than that of conventional rechargeable aluminium-ion batteries thanks to the type of materials selected for the electrodes and the “sandwich” type stacking of the electrochemical cells that make it up through the use of graphite current collectors shared between adjacent cells. This configuration effectively reduces internal resistance achieving higher power density and a greater number of charge and discharge cycles without rapid deterioration of the energy storage capacity of the battery.
