Abstract:
The use of sugars in a stabilization matrix and solid detergent compositions is disclosed along with methods of making and using the solid detergent compositions.
Abstract:
A solidification matrix includes a biodegradable aminocarboxylate, sodium carbonate, and water. The biodegradable aminocarboxylate, sodium carbonate, and water interact to form a hydrate solid. The solidification matrix may be used, for example, in a solid detergent composition.
Abstract:
A solidification matrix includes a straight chain saturated carboxylic acid salt, sodium carbonate, and water. The straight chain saturated carboxylic acid salt is selected from a salt of a mono-, di-, or tri- carboxylic acid. The solidification matrix may be used, for example, in a solid detergent composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions including a water soluble magnesium salt, water soluble calcium salt, and silicate or carbonate, which have a beneficial effect on corrosion during cleaning. The present compositions can reduce corrosion of glass or aluminum. The present invention also relates to methods employing these compositions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to cleaning compositions and methods employing a water soluble magnesium compound. Such compositions can be used for reducing scale, rinsing, hard surface cleaning, ware washing, and corrosion inhibition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions including a water soluble magnesium salt, water soluble calcium salt, and gluconate, which have a beneficial effect on corrosion during cleaning. The present compositions can reduce corrosion of glass, aluminum, or steel. The present invention also relates to methods employing these compositions.
Abstract:
A method of removing food soils from a recirculated washing solution includes adding a flocculating agent to the recirculated washing solution and separating the particulates from the recirculated washing solution using a hydrocyclone. The flocculating agent causes a portion of the food soils to combine into particulates having a higher density.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition includes a carboxymethyl carbohydrate polymer, sodium carbonate, and water. The carboxymethyl carbohydrate polymer, sodium carbonate, and water interact to form a hydrate solid. The solid cleaning composition exhibits little or no swelling even when heated to temperatures up to 120° C.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of making a solid cleaning composition. The method can include pressing and/or vibrating a flowable solid of a self-solidifying cleaning composition. For a self-solidifying cleaning composition, pressing and/or vibrating a flowable solid determines the shape and density of the solid but is not required for forming a solid. The method can employ a concrete block machine for pressing and/or vibrating. The present invention also relates to a solid cleaning composition made by the method and to solid cleaning compositions including particles bound together by a binding agent.
