    Abstract: A transducer (3) for a storage medium (5) is provided with a supporting element (9) positioned over the storage medium (5) and with a first head (10) carried by the supporting element (9) and configured to interact with the storage medium (5). The transducer (3) is also provided with a second head (11) operatively connected to the first head (10) to interact with the storage medium (5). In particular, the second head (11) is carried by the supporting element (9) in a position adjacent to the first head (10, and the first and the second head are aligned in a scanning direction (x). The first head (10) performs the reading of a data item stored in a portion (15) of the storage medium (5), the reading entailing the deletion of the data item, and the second head (11) performs the rewriting of the data item in the same portion (15) of the storage medium (5).
