Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a nonwoven fabric hydrophilic and permeable towards polar liquids. SOLUTION: There is provided the process for coating a polymer nonwoven fabric comprising the steps of: (a) plasma and/or corona assisted treatment of the surface of the nonwoven fabric to obtain a charged and/or polar surface; and (b) formation of a first coating layer comprising at least one first charged and/or polar chemical species, the first chemical species being a hydrophilic polymer, wherein the overall charge or partial charge facing the nonwoven fabric surface of the first chemical species carries the opposite sign from the average charge introduced to the nonwoven fabric fiber surface in the step (a). Abstract:
The invention relates to a product with at least one layer made of polyethylene spun-bonded fibers and with at least one layer comprised of polypropylene meltblown fibers, in which the layer containing polypropylene meltblown fibers additionally contains polybutene 1 for the purpose of improving the joining of the polyethylene spun-bonded fibers with the polypropylene meltblown fibers by lowering the melting point. The invention also relates to the use of polybutene 1.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a nonwoven material with elastic properties in one direction. Said material comprises either a multilayer composite, whereof one layer at least has elastic polymer fibers or filaments, or a homogeneous mixture of fibers and filament, whereof part of the fibers is made of elastic polymer, a greater proportion of the fibers or filaments being oriented by heat input in a direction transverse to the direction of elasticity of the nonwoven material. The invention also concerns a method for producing said nonwoven material and a device for implementing said method.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a nonwoven material having elastic properties aligned in one direction, consisting of either one multilayer composite including at least one layer in which fibers or filaments made of an elastic polymer are contained, or of a homogeneous fiber and filament mix in which a portion of the fibers consists of an elastic polymer, wherein in each case a larger part of the fibers or filaments is aligned in a direction under the application of heat which extends transversely to the direction in which the nonwoven material is elastic. The invention furthermore relates to a method for the manufacture of the nonwoven material and to an apparatus to carry out the method.
