Abstract:
The invention concerns a nonwoven material with elastic properties in one direction. Said material comprises either a multilayer composite, whereof one layer at least has elastic polymer fibers or filaments, or a homogeneous mixture of fibers and filament, whereof part of the fibers is made of elastic polymer, a greater proportion of the fibers or filaments being oriented by heat input in a direction transverse to the direction of elasticity of the nonwoven material. The invention also concerns a method for producing said nonwoven material and a device for implementing said method.
Abstract:
A low-stretch and dimensionally stable floor covering (1) comprising polymer-containing pile material (2) which is retained to a polymer-containing primary backing (3), to the back of which an underlying secondary backing layer (5) is retained by means of an interleaving adhesive layer (4). The secondary backing layer (5) comprises a needled fibre structure of thermoplastic, polymer-containing, continuous or staple fibres being inter-fixated by heating. The adhesive layer (4) comprises an organic, polymer-containing binder, which is activated by heat application. A process of producing the low-stretch and dimensionally floor covering comprising producing a web-formed semi-manufactured material comprising a pile material retained to a primary backing layer, heating a secondary backing layer, joining the back side of the web-formed semi-manufactured material in the form of textile with the web-formed backing layer, cooling of the formed material of the floor covering so as to provide an essentially non-moisture absorbing bonded adhesive layer, winding the material onto broadloom rollers and optionally cutting the material wholly or partially into carpet tiles.

The invention concerns a nonwoven material with elastic properties in one direction. Said material comprises either a multilayer composite, whereof on e layer at least has elastic polymer fibers or filaments, or a homogeneous mixture of fibers and filament, whereof part of the fibers is made of elasti c polymer, a greater proportion of the fibers or filaments being oriented by heat input in a direction transverse to the direction of elasticity of the nonwoven material. Abstract:
The invention relates to a nonwoven material having elastic properties aligned in one direction, consisting of either one multilayer composite including at least one layer in which fibers or filaments made of an elastic polymer are contained, or of a homogeneous fiber and filament mix in which a portion of the fibers consists of an elastic polymer, wherein in each case a larger part of the fibers or filaments is aligned in a direction under the application of heat which extends transversely to the direction in which the nonwoven material is elastic. The invention furthermore relates to a method for the manufacture of the nonwoven material and to an apparatus to carry out the method.
