Abstract:
A digital camera comprising: an imaging unit operable to generate an image by photographing an object; a receiving unit operable to receive information relating to image processing from one or more transmission devices; a judging unit operable to judge whether the image is to be output or not, based on the information received by the receiving unit; and an output unit operable to, in accordance with the judgment made by the judging unit, output the image to a memory, or discard the image, where the memory is readable by the digital camera or an external device.
Abstract:
A recording apparatus (100) comprises a receiving unit (301) operable to receive content, a control unit (302) operable to determine a recording method of the content on a recording media (120), and a R/W unit (305) operable to write in and read out on the recording media. The control unit (302) includes a recording media identification unit (302a) operable to identify a type of the recording media via the R/W unit (305), a source identification unit (302b) operable to judge a type of a source about whether or not the received content is a content subject to a content protection, a recording method selection unit (302c) operable to select a recording method of the content on the recording media (120), and a recording method conversion unit (302d).
Abstract:
A 1 DVD-RMA4 on which contents, which are digital copyrighted works, wherein one or more first contents and a first list information (music list) showing a list of said one or more first contents (for example, CPRM and CPS2) are recorded by a first recording method, one or more second contents and a second list information (music list) showing a list of said one or more second contents are recorded by a second recording method (for example, non-CP), and a common list information (master music list) showing a list of contents including the contents indicated in the first list information and the contents indicated in the second list information are recorded.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a group admission system (1) having a client (200e-200g) and a server (100a-100d) that belongs to a closed group within which contents are available. The client (200e-200g) determines whether it is permissible to request to join the group to be a member device thereof based on the number of groups that the client (200e-200g) is permitted to be in. If permissible, the client (200e-200g) transmits a registration request to the server (100a-100d) with information unique to the client (200e-200g). The server (100a-100d) determines whether to permit the client (200e-200g) to join the group by registering with the server (100a-100d) based on the number of member devices registered with the server (100a-100d) and the maximum number of member devices registerable with the server (100a-100d). If it is permitted, the server (100a-100d) registers the unique information, and transmits group identification information to the client (200e-200g). The client receives and stores the group identification information.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device which only users having a valid license are enabled to use. The device comprises a reading unit operable to read license information indicating a license to use the device, the license information being stored in a memory card; an inquiry unit operable to inquire of a management apparatus via a network whether the license indicated by the license information is valid or invalid; and a control unit operable to, in a case where a result of the inquiry shows that the license is invalid, perform control so as to inhibit the device from operating.
Abstract:
Provided is a game system in which a plurality of game execution apparatuses, having internal structures different from each other, are capable of proceeding with a game while sharing characteristics of a character appearing in the game. A stationary game apparatus 100 obtains character data from a server apparatus 600, and writes the character data to a memory card 300. The stationary game apparatus 100 executes a stationary game software program stored in a DVD 500, using the character data stored in the memory card 300. A portable game apparatus 200 executes a portable game software program stored in a cartridge 400, using the character data stored in the memory card 300.
Abstract:
A key issuing center (11) distributes a system secret parameter group that is information necessary for generating a content key used for encrypting a content to a server (12), and an encrypted intermediate key group set that is information necessary for generating a content key used for decrypting the content to output apparatuses (13a to 13n). The server (12) generates the content key based on the system secret parameter group and a time varying parameter group, encrypts the content based on the content key, and distributes the encrypted content and the time varying parameter group to the output apparatuses (13a to 13n). The output apparatuses (13a to 13n) generates a content key based on the encrypted intermediate key group set and the received time varying parameter group, decrypts the encrypted content based on the content key, and outputs to outside.

Abstract:
The present invention is a content distribution system for distributing contents. The content distribution system (1) includes a key issuing center (11), a server (12), eight output apparatuses (13a) to (13h), and a communication path (10) that connects them to each other. Here, a pair of the key issuing center (11) and each of the output apparatuses (13a) to (13h) is previously given an individual key shared between them. For example, the key issuing center (11) shares an individual key IKa with the output apparatus (13a), an individual key IKb with the output apparatus (13b), and an individual key IKh with the output apparatus (13h).
Abstract:
Processing load on an executing device for conducting playback is high during the playback of contents since the executing device performs verification of the contents validity in parallel with the contents playback, and therefore the executing device has to be equipped with a highly efficient processor. The present invention reduces the processing load involved in the verification by using, for the verification, only a predetermined number of encrypted units selected randomly from multiple encrypted units constituting encrypted contents recorded on the DVD. In addition, the present invention is capable of improving the accuracy of detecting unauthorized contents to some extent by randomly selecting a predetermined number of encrypted units every time the verification is performed.
