PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head band for reversible mount of a headset by which the headset is used at any side of a head of a person wearing it. SOLUTION: A head band 100 includes two adjustable connection parts to be matched with a head of a person wearing the head band. The head band 100 at its one side has a fitting part 110 for a headset. The fitting part 110 includes a plurality of tabs 116 surrounding a substantially circular cavity 115. The headset is mounted to the head band 100 by fitting at least part of the headset inside the cavity 115 and the headset is held at a constant position by the tabs 116. The tabs 116 are placed so that the headset can be extended among them and the headset is adjustable in response to a desire of the person wearing it.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible ear hook that places an earphone in close to an ear of a wearing person. SOLUTION: This ear hook 100 includes a mount element 103 to which an earphone is provided. The mount element 103 is substantially a torus. The ear hook 100 includes a hook element 101 made of a material whose shape is matched and the shape is maintained afterward. The hook element 101 can include a wire. The hook element 101 and the mount element 103 are connected so that the flexible ear hook 100 can be used to either of the ears.

Abstract:
In a communications unit, such as a headset or a hearing aid, of the wireless type, a metal layer (3) is adhered or secured to its battery (1) by means of a double adhesive tape or spacers (2), so that the battery and the metal layer are capacitively connected to each other. The metal layer (3) is connected electrically to the transmit and receive circuit of the communications unit, which is mounted on a printed circuit board whose ground parts constitute a ground plane. Hereby, a patch antenna is provided, which, although it has small dimensions, has a good directional characteristic, which additionally provides the advantage that radiation from the antenna is directed away from a user's head. A communications unit constructed in this manner is useful in connection with a Bluetooth communications connection.

A headset with a wearing device, which may be a headband, a neckband or an earpiece, is provided with at least one capsule, which has contacts for connecting a battery as well as contacts for connecting a housing with electronics and operating buttons and optionally a microphone. Further, the capsule may have a charging outlet which is adapted to be connected to a charging device in a base unit.The base unit is also configured as a holder for the headset and has an extra connection which is intended to be connected to an extra loose battery. The invention provides a very flexible headset, where the parts of the headset may be exchanged in case of defects thereof, or if new designs of the individual parts become attractive to the users.

A headset (1) and a headphone has two speakers (2, 3) connected via a headband (4) and is configured such that the headset may be used as a conventional headset or as a stereo speaker set, where the speakers of the headband and the headset constitute supports against a substrate. The headband may expediently be made of a permanently deformable material in the form of a sandwich structure, which is constructed as three layers, or may be composed of one or more rotary joints or of one or more bistable joints, which provides many possible settings of the support against the substrate, of which there may be more than one. In addition, the headset may incorporate a DSP which is adapted to received signals from a sensor sensing whether the headset is used as a conventional headset or as a stereo speaker set, and, where appropriate, sets some ether electrical circuits incorporated in the headset, which regulate volume and transmission characteristics, automatically on the basis of the sensed signals.
