Abstract: The traditional type of palisade as used in landscaping was either made of concrete or timber. The new design is assembled of a number of pipe sections (1) made of a lightweight non-corroding material and is provided with joint elements (2, 3) integrated alongside. The palisades can be arranged in any shape as required by the particular area and are filled with soil or another suitable material when satisfactory positioned. The joint elements (2, 3) and the material of the pipes (1) prevents plant parts and roots to pass through gaps and fissures and to cling to the palisades, facilitating an easy removal and re-positioning of the border unit.
