    Abstract: A sliding shoe portion of a awning window hinge includes a cantilevered rail fitting within a channel of a track on which the shoe slides. A wedge screw placed between the fulcrum of the cantilevered portion and its open end deforms the rail to control the clearance between the rail and channel. The wedge screw may be displaced toward one longitudinal end of the shoe allowing its access when the awning hinge is assembled to a window and window frame with attached operator.

    Abstract: A system for preparing and holding specimens for microscopic analysis including a capsule having an open end, an opposite end including at least one aperture and a reservoir. The system also includes an insert with a base including at least one aperture. The insert fits within and engages an inner wall of the reservoir to secure the insert within the reservoir. The system also includes an insertion tool configured to engage the insert. The insertion tool is sized to position the insert within the reservoir at a variety of positions within the reservoir.     Abstract: A device for holding a specimen holder, the device including a body with a slot formed therein. The slot includes an interior for receiving the specimen holder which may be a flat disk with edges and a pair of opposing sides. The disk may be made of a resilient deformable material. The slot may be sized to receive the specimen holder through an open top end and may taper from top bottom, such that the bottom end of the slot is smaller than the specimen holder.     Abstract: A track and hinge assembly set for with a casement window sash unit comprises a pair of track and hinge assemblies each including a track which is mounted on a horizontal frame member of the window frame. Each assembly also includes a toggle hinge including a pair pivotally interconnected links, one of which is secured to the casement sash and pivotally and slidably connected to the track. The other link is pivotally connected to a cam which is shiftably mounted on the track. In one embodiment, the cam is longitudinally shiftably relative to the track which repositions the pivotal connection between a toggle link and cam to overcome sash sag. In other embodiments, the cam rotated relative to the track to reposition the pivotal connection between the cam and a toggle link to correct sash sag.
