Abstract: 125,865. Beck, O., and Van Kannel Revolving Door Co. Sept. 2, 1918. Revolving doors.-In a revolving door having collapsible wings tied by yielding cables, the cable attachments to the wings are so constructed that a supplementary adjustable resistance is afforded by the yielding mechanism before the wings automatically collapse under unusual wind or other pressure by pulling out the cable end from the wing. One end d of a cable is fastened on a sliding bar e, which is controlled by a spring f and yields under a pressure slightly less than is required to detach the cable head d . Under increased pressure, the head d slips from a clip g and dog h , the grip of which is produced by a spring k adjustable by a plate l and nut m on a screw l . For hand release in case of emergency, the clip g may be tilted bv a small lever not shown in Fig. 1. The dog h' forms part of a box h, and the spring f bears at one end against the box and at the other end against a fixed post c and also against lugs projecting from the sliding bar e. The cable end d is detachably secured in a mutilated or segmental flange of a cup j, which has a squared spindle to receive a key.

Abstract: 104,917. Beck, O., and Van Kannel Revolving Door Co. March 22, 1916. Emergency-exit fastenings; sliding bolts.-A sliding locking bolt, specially adapted for emergency exits, has an enlarged end 6 which. by engagement with the end of the bolt-casing prevents the withdrawal of the bolt when shot by the operating- knob 4. The bolt is moved laterally to engage the casing by means of a spring 8, which may be helical and provided with adjusting- means 23, and a plunger 21 engaging a slot 24 in the bolt. The end of the bolt is bevelled and engages a bevelled socket 10, so that when pressure is applied to the door, the bolt is pressed to one side until the enlargement 6 clears the end of the casing, and the bolt is then forced inwards. In order to provide sufficient resistance, the bolt may terminate in a tongue 15, Fig. 7, which must be sheared before the door can be opened. In another form, Fig. 8, a spring-pressed plate 18 may be employed in the socket. The bolt may be locked by means of a pivoted arm 27 actuated by a key inserted in a keyway 28 and controlled by a spring 31.

Abstract: A heating or air conditioning unit for the interior of a motor vehicle including installation frames having louvers being inserted into a receptacle of the housing provided for that purpose. The installation frame has a profile on its frame sides so that the installation frame is held in a positive-locking manner in a receptacle of the housing. The profile has a wedge-shaped structure, thin ribs extending, running apart, along a frame side in the insertion direction.

Abstract: A system for processing electronic documents includes an existing business system (or systems) connected to a separate control system. The resulting composite system provides a framework that enables a flexible and customizable process definition for handling incoming documents.
