    Abstract: The invention relates to a camera system (1) for vehicle applications, designed to be mounted behind a windscreen (8) of a vehicle and comprising the following: at least one optical system (2) for imaging electromagnetic radiation; at least one image sensor (3) for detecting the imaged electromagnetic radiation and converting it into electrical signals; and an evaluation unit (4) for processing the electric signals.
