Abstract:
The invention relates to an optical element (POE) for multifocal imaging in a camera for vehicle applications comprising - at least one first and at least one second partial region (T1, T2), arranged alongside one another, wherein - the at least one first partial region (T1) is designed to bring about a first axial offset of the beam path in the camera, - the at least one second partial region (T2) is designed to bring about a second axial offset of the beam path in the camera, - the first axial offset differs from the second axial offset, - the first axial offset is provided for long-range imaging in the camera, - the second axial offset is provided for short-range imaging in the camera, and wherein - the second partial region (T2) differs from the first partial region (T1) in that its cross section (T2_d1, T2_d2) changes in a vertical direction (20) of the short-range imaging.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a camera system (1) for vehicle applications, designed to be mounted behind a windscreen (8) of a vehicle and comprising the following: at least one optical system (2) for imaging electromagnetic radiation; at least one image sensor (3) for detecting the imaged electromagnetic radiation and converting it into electrical signals; and an evaluation unit (4) for processing the electric signals. The invention is characterised in that the camera system also comprises the following: a controllable light source (6) for generating electromagnetic radiation for an optical test of the camera system, and an electronic testing system (5) for evaluating the electric signals converted by the image sensor and for controlling the light source. The camera system is also designed such that the electromagnetic radiation generated by the light source is imaged onto at least part of the image sensor by means of the at least one optical system, and the electronic testing system evaluates the electrical signals generated by the image sensor in this way for operational readiness and for definition of functional values of the camera system.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a camera module (1), comprising a module housing (2), in which an imaging system (5), such as a lens stack, and an image recording element (15), such as a CMOS imager, are arranged. Because the camera module (1) is specially designed with a common housing (2) for the imaging system (5) and the image recording element (15), a temperature-compensating optical system that is stable over the long term is created. The invention further relates to a suitable method for producing such a camera module (1).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a stereo camera system (10) designed for use in motor vehicles behind an inclined windscreen (5; 12), wherein at least one of the at least two camera modules (14, 16) of the system has an additional, partially arranged optical element (8; 26) supplied at times or acting as a beam splitter and can thereby be used as an at least bifocal optical camera module having at least two different depth of field ranges on an image sensor (4), and the image sensor thereby comprises at least two partial regions having different optical object distances, wherein one optical object distance is provided for detecting an object in the near range which serves for aligning the stereo camera arrangement.
