A magnetoresistive read head includes a spin valve having a multi-layer in-stack bias (107) and side shields (113) to substantially reduce the undesired flux from adjacent bits and tracks, as well as from the transverse field of the recording medium itself. At least one free layer (100) is spaced apart from at least one pinned layer (102) by a spacer (101). Above the free layer, a capping layer is provided (106), followed by the in-stack bias (107), which includes a non-magnetic conductive layer (111), a ferromagnetic layer (110) having a magnetization fixed by an anti-ferromagnetic layer (109) and a stabilizing ferromagnetic layer. Additionally, a multilayered side shield (113) is provided, including a thin insulator (114) a soft buffer layer (115) and a soft side shield layer (116) as a result, the free layer (100) is shielded from the undesired flux, and recording media having substantially smaller track size and bit size.

A recording/reproducing head has a slider (2) in which an electromagnetic transducer (or an optical module) (1) is provided, an actuator (4) and a suspension (3). The actuator has a fixed part (43) and a movable part (44) and at least (2) beam parts with which the movable part (44) is connected to the fixed part (43). The beam parts have displacement producing parts (41) which are expanded/contracted by an inverse piezoelectric effect or an electrostriction effect. The fixed part (43) is connected to the suspension (3) and the movable part (44) is fixed to the slider (2). If the displacement producing parts (41) are expanded/contracted, the displacement producing parts (41) are deflected and the linear displacement, arc-form displacement or rotary displacement of the movable part (44) is produced relatively to the fixed part (43) and, further, the electromagnetic transducer (1) is displaced to describe a linear or arc-form path which crosses recording tracks. The actuator (4) consists of a plate-shape unit which is made of piezoelectric or electrostrictive material and has a hole part and/or a cut part to form the fixed part (43), the movable part (44) and the beam parts integrally. If the summation of driving voltages applied to the respective displacement producing parts is so controlled as to be constant at any time when the positioning in a direction crossing the recording tracks is carried out by using the actuator having the construction shown in the figure, the position fluctuation of the electromagnetic transducer in a direction perpendicular to the surface of a recording medium can be suppressed.

When the ceramic substrate of a ceramic column grid array is connected with a large number of columns, a mounting jig is arranged on the ceramic substrate and a column is inserted into the hole of the mounting jig. When the columns are inserted one by one into the holes of the mounting jig, the productivity is low and the cost increases. A column suction head enables the columns to be inserted into all holes of the mounting jig at a time. Elongated holes are bored in the body at the same positions as those of the electrodes provided on the ceramic substrate of the ceramic column grid array and a suction hole is bored in the bottom of each elongated hole. When a column suction head is set on an arranging jig where the columns are arranged and air is sucked through the suction holes, the columns of the arranging jig are sucked into the elongated holes of the column suction head.

A reader of a magnetoresistive head includes a spin valve with sensor having a stabilizing hard bias and side shield at the side of the sensor, to substantially reduce the undesired flux from adjacent bits and tracks. At least one free layer is spaced apart from at least one pinned layer by a spacer. Above the free layer, a capping layer is provided. The stabilizer may include an insulator, a soft material that is a shielding layer, a decoupling layer, and a hard bias. As a result, the free layer is shielded from the undesired flux of adjacent tracks, and recording media having substantially smaller track size and bit size can be used.

A magnetoresistive read head includes a spin valve having at least one free layer spaced apart from at least one pinned layer by a spacer. The free layer includes a cobalt compound as a thin film including at least one of Co-X, CoFe-X and CoNi-X, where X is an element from the lanthanoid family (a 4-f element) . The content of Co is higher than 80 percent, and the content of the lanthanoid element is less than 10 percent. The film may comprise the entire free layer, or be positioned adjacent to one or more conventional free layer films. The pinned layer is a conventional single layer, or a synthetic multi-layered structure having a spacer between sub-layers. Because the spin valve structure has a high exchange stiffness and damping factor, spin transfer effect is reduced and a high-speed dynamic response is provided.

The device is provided with a unit (100) which outputs the data corresponding to the level of conduction noise, a unit (110) which outputs the data corresponding to the level of radiation electromagnetic field noise, a unit (132) which outputs the data corresponding to the level of discharge noise, a temperature and humidity detecting unit (134) which detects the temperature and humidity and outputs the data corresponding to detected values, a microcomputer (120) which processes the output data of each unit, a display section (124) which displays the output data, and a recorder (122) which records the data. The microcomputer (120) transmits the output data from each unit to the display section (124) and the recording device (122).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a food housing container made of a plant fiber material, which has a practical strength, and in addition, can be industrially manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method comprises the following processes. In the first process, pulp and at least one kind of plant fiber materials other than pulp are made into a board-like form of a specified size. In the second process, a thermoplastic resin having heat-sealability is coated. In the third process, inwardly folded pieces which connect adjacent side surface pieces are formed at the four corners of the board-like form. In the fourth process, a food housing container or a lid body is formed by heat-pressing the board-like form which is obtained by this method by a pair of concave-convex pressing dies. One pair of the counter side surface pieces are constituted in a manner to rise prior to the other pair of the counter side surface pieces, and the container in which the inwardly folded pieces are overlapped and pasted to the four corners by heat-pressing is formed.
