    Abstract: Methods and systems for producing a thermite weld include applying a first vibration and a second vibration to molten thermite material within a mold between a first piece and a second piece to be welded. The first vibration includes a first vibration frequency and a first amplitude, and the second vibration includes a second vibration frequency and a second amplitude. The first vibration and the second vibration are applied simultaneously to the molten thermite material until the molten thermite material cools below a liquid-to-solid transition temperature. Interference patterns and harmonics between the first vibration and the second vibration enhance the elimination of gas voids within the molten thermite material and enhance grain refinement in the molten thermite material of the resulting thermite weld without damaging the mold.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure pertains to one or more novel peptoids, derivatives thereof, multimers thereof, and combinations thereof. The peptoids may be suitable for use in treating or preventing a cancer in a subject, detecting a cancer in a subject, or as research and development tools. Further embodiments pertain to methods of inhibiting the growth of cancer cells by exposing the cancer cells to the peptoids. Additional embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to methods of treating or preventing a cancer in a subject by administering the peptoids to the subject. Further embodiments pertain to methods of detecting cancer in a subject by exposing cells susceptible of being cancerous to the peptoids, detecting the presence or absence of vimentin associated with cells susceptible of being cancerous, and correlating the presence or absence of the vimentin to the presence or absence of the cancer in the subject.

    Abstract: A system for tracking an eye of a user includes one or more piezoelectric sensors positionable on the face of the user, and an eye tracking computer system in signal communication with the one or more piezoelectric sensors so as to receive signals from the one or more piezoelectric sensors, wherein the computer system is configured to detect movement in at least one direction of the eye of the user based on the signals received by the computer system from the one or more piezoelectric sensors when the one or more piezoelectric sensors are positioned on the face of the user in one or more locations each spaced from the eyelids of the user.
