    Abstract: PURPOSE: A phase change biochip and a method for detecting bio information using the same are provided to easily manufacture a chip and to prevent damage of SiO_2 dielectric and phase change layer. CONSTITUTION: A phase change biochip comprises: a glass substrate(150) having a fixed DNA(170); a phase change layer(140) formed at the lower portion of the glass substrate; a dielectric(130) formed at the lower portion of the phase change layer; and a metal reflection layer(120) formed at the lower portion of the dielectric. The thickness of the metal reflection layer is 100-200 nm. A method for detecting bio information using the biochip comprises: a step of preparing the probe DNA-attached phase change biochip; a step of spraying a target DNA for binding with the probe DNA; a step of irradiating laser light to the biochip to crystallize the phase change layer; and a step of irradiating laser and measuring reflection rate of the phase change layer.
