Abstract: PURPOSE: A system and a method for inputting a user command using a pointing device are provided to select an object and execute a corresponding function in a controller of an image device according to a selection command of a trigger detecting unit and displacement information of a coordinate operating unit. CONSTITUTION: A motion sensor unit(110) senses the direction of movement of a user. A coordinate operation unit(140) produces displacement information on a display screen from an output value of the motion sensor unit. A trigger detecting unit(130) detects a selection command of the user. A controller(220) controls movement of a pointer of an image device(200) by the displacement information. The controller executes an operation of the image device according to the selection command.
