    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preparing 5,6-dihydroxy indole using Kitasatospora sp. DG09 is provided to remarkably enhance melanogenesis and tyrosinase production. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing 5,6-dihydroxy indole comprises: a step of culturing a transformant containing Kitasatospora sp. DG09(deposit number KCCM11178P) or tyrosinase nucleic acid sequence of sequence number 3; and a step of collecting 5,6-dihydroxy indole from the culture liquid. A tyrosinase has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2 prepared from Kitasatospora sp. DG09. The tyrosinase has a nucleic acid sequence of sequence number 3.
