Abstract: PURPOSE: A sunlight tracking sensor and a device for condensing sunlight using the same are provided to perform back tracing by removing a motion error which is caused by the generation of a shadow on the bottom and reverse position sensing for the sun. CONSTITUTION: A sunlight tracking sensor(100) comprises a supporting part(110), a ray tracing sensing part(120), and an optical inducing part(130). The supporting part is made of a light transmitting or transparent material and is equipped with ray tracing sensing part for combining the sunlight tracking sensor with a solar cell module and subsequently operating. The ray tracing sensing part comprises a control PCB plate(121), a vertical PCB plate(122), left and right photodiodes, and a bottom photodiode. The control PCE plate is mounted in the supporting part. The vertical PCB plate is integrated by being vertical on the top surface of the control PCB plate. The left and right photodiodes are separately mounted in the left and right side of the vertical PCB plate in order to sense the direction of the sunlight. The bottom photodiode is mounted on the bottom surface of the control PCB plate in order to sense the reverse position of the sunlight. The optical inducing part is combined to the supporting part for covering the ray tracing sensing part; is composed of a roof shape with a slope in order to induce the sunlight towards the left and right photodiode; and is made of a light transmitting or transparent material.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A sensor and a method for tracking the location of the Sun are provided to sensitively track the location of the Sun by using a lens unit with a cylindrical type for using a cylindrical refractive lens and a convex lens. CONSTITUTION: A sensor and a method for tracking the position of the Sun comprise a lens unit(210), an optical sensor mounting board(220), and an optical sensor unit(230). The lens unit comprises a sidewall lens assembly(211) with a pyramid structure through combining a plurality of convex lenses and a convex lens(212) which is combined with the uppermost part of the sidewall lens assembly. The optical sensor mounting board is combined with the bottom of sidewall lens assembly in order to form the bottom surface of the lens unit and forms a connecting circuit pattern for the electrical connection and signaling of the optical sensor unit. The optical sensor unit comprises four photodiodes(231,232,233,234) which are partitioned in four, are arranged in the top center of the optical sensor mounting board, and functions as four kinds of comparators by the sum of a photocurrent output value. The convex lens which forms the sidewall lens assembly and composes the sidewall of the lens unit selectively applies one lens of a fresnel lens and a prism lens.
