Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially excellent producing method of a low environmental burden, which swiftly obtains an oligoalkylene carbonate or polyalkylene carbonate compound in high yield by a simple operation in the presence of a small amount of hydrolase. SOLUTION: The method for producing an oligoalkylene carbonate or polyalkylene carbonate compound by transesterification reaction between alkylenediol diacylate and carbonate compounds in the presence of a hydrolase (especially, lipase) is provided. In this method, owing to making the catalyst present stably without its deactivation, the new industrial production process (method) using a smaller amount of the enzyme than ever along with high reaction rate is found.
