    Abstract: PURPOSE: Feed for reducing the generation amount of methane gas from ruminants and a methane gas reduction method using thereof are provided to use easily obtainable garlic as a main ingredient. CONSTITUTION: Feed for reducing the generation amount of methane gas from ruminants contains rice straws and concentrated fodder. The feed additionally contains 0.01~0.5% of garlic corresponding to the total amount of concentrated fodder. The garlic is in a dried powder form. The generation amount of methane gas from the ruminants can be reduced by feeding the ruminants with the feed once a day.
