Abstract: PURPOSE: An electric bicycle with a tilt sensor is provided to enable a user to easily shift a gear of a rear wheel by directly transferring the power of a motor to a chain. CONSTITUTION: An electric bicycle with a tilt sensor comprises a motor sprocket(1a), an electric motor(1), a tilt sensor(200), a battery(400), and a controller(100). The motor sprocket transfers torque to a chain(900) The electric motor rotates the motor sprocket. The tilt sensor is installed in one side of the frame of the bicycle and measures the tilt of the bicycle. The battery supplies power to the electric motor. The controller controls the operation of the electric motor depending on the measured tilt of the bicycle.
