Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition containing Artemisia herba extract for preventing and treating cardiac circulation diseases is provided to prevent and treat hyperlipidemia, cerebral artery, coronary heart disease, arteriosclerosis, and myocardial infarction caused by LDL oxidation. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cardiac circulation diseases comprises an ergosterol peroxide as an active ingredient. The ergosterol peroxide is isolated from an Artemisia herba. The ergosterol peroxide is contained in a ratio of 0.01-96 weight% based on the total weight.
