    Abstract: PURPOSE: A glycoprotein conjugate of Pneumococcus capsular polysaccharide type 14(CSP 14) and horseradich peroxidase is provided to ensure immune response to CPS 14, and to develop a novel material which is harmless to human body. CONSTITUTION: A glycoprotein conjugate is prepared by conjugating Pneumococcus capsular polysaccharide type 14(CSP 14) and horseradich peroxidase. CPS 14 is oxidized. Horseradich peroxidase is modified by 2-succinimidyl-3-(2-pyridyldithio)propionate(SPDP) and ditiothreitol(DTT). A method for preparing the glycoprotein conjugate comprises: a step of oxidizing CPS14; and a step of reacting horseradich peroxidase with SPDP and DTT and preparing C1-SPDP-DTT.
