Abstract: PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing anthocyanine isolated from black soybean shells for preventing diabetes is provided to prevent and treat diabetes and related complications without toxic effects. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating diabetes contains anthocyanine isolated from black soybean shells. Anthocyanine contains 65-80 weight% of cyaniding-3-glucoside, 15-25 weight% of delphinidin-3-glucoside and 5-10 weight% of petunidin-3-glucoside. The pharmaceutical composition is used in the form of a capsule, tablet, chewing tablet, powder, dry syrup, granule, soft capsule, pill, and drink.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing anthocyanin isolated from Vitis coignetiae Pulliat for treating liver cancer is provided to induce and strengthen apoptosis of hepatocytes and ensure anti-proliferation and anti-infiltration to liver cancer cells. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating liver cancer contains anthocyanin isolated from Vitis coignetiae Pulliat as an active ingredient. A method for isolating the anthocyanin comprises: a step of extracting Vitis coignetiae Pulliat with methanol containing 0.1% of HCl at 5°C for 24 hours; a step of compress-concentrating the Vitis coignetiae Pulliat extract and washing the extract on Ambrite XAD-7 adsorber with water and ethyl acetate; and a step of eluting methanol solution having 1% of HCl to obtain the anthocyanin. The anthocyanin is delphinidin-3,5-diglucoside and cyanidin-3,5-diglucoside.
