Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for sensing the solar position using a thermoelectric element without separate driving power and a method for sensing the solar position by using the device. The device for sensing the solar position using a thermoelectric element according to the present invention includes: a solar sensor unit in which two or more thermoelectric elements are arranged in a polygonal shape to face different directions and to generate voltage information for different voltage values generated in each thermoelectric element according to incident solar light; and a control unit to estimate relative position of the sun based on the received voltage information.
