    Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing herb extract is provided to suppress weight increase and to reduce neutral lipid concentration in blood. CONSTITUTION: A composition for suppressing obesity contains 10 weight parts of herb mixture having 6 weight parts of Ephedra sinica, 8 weight parts of gypsum, and 4 weight parts of Atractylodis rhizome; and 8 weight parts of tea leaf extract. The extract is isolated using water, alcohol, or mixture thereof. The alcohol is C1-C4 low alcohol. The composition contains 0.1-1.5 weight% of ephedrine based on total active ingredient in the composition. The composition also contains 0.2-0.3 weight% of caffeine based on total active ingredient.

    Abstract translation: 目的：提供含有草本提取物的组合物，以抑制体重增加和降低血液中的中性脂质浓度。 构成：用于抑制肥胖的组合物含有10重量份的草本混合物，其具有6重量份的麻黄，8重量份的石膏和4重量份的Atractylodis根茎; 和8份茶叶提取物。 使用水，醇或其混合物分离提取物。 酒精是C1-C4低酒精。 该组合物含有基于组合物中总活性成分的0.1-1.5重量％的麻黄碱。 该组合物还含有基于总活性成分的0.2-0.3重量％的咖啡因。

    Abstract: An extract of Rhus verniciflua Stokes is provided to be able to inhibit the proliferation of activated immunocytes and synoviocytes and the generation of cytokines and show excellent inflammation inhibitory effects, thereby being usefully used as a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food for preventing and treating arthritis. A composition for preventing and treating arthritis comprises an extract of Rhus verniciflua Stokes as an effective ingredient, where the extract is obtained by extracting the Rhus verniciflua Stokes with water, C1-4 lower alcohol, or a mixture solvent thereof at a temperature of 30-105 deg.C for about 1 hours to 1 day.
