Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition comprising an extract of Phellodendron amurensis is provided to proliferate osteoblasts, and show alkali phosphatase(ALP) activity promoting and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) secretion promoting effect, thereby being usefully used for treating and preventing fracture. The pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating fracture comprises an extract of Phellodendron amurensis as an effective ingredient. The extract shows the bone fusion effect due to angiogenesis and osteoblast proliferation and is prepared by using a solvent selected from the group consisting of water, C1-4 alcohol, and a mixture solvent thereof.
