    Abstract: PURPOSE: A contact type probe device of a turning system for ultra-precision machining is provided to enhance the accuracy by compensating periodically errors of a numerical control machine. CONSTITUTION: A contact type probe device of a turning system for ultra-precision machining includes a probe housing(110), a pressure control valve(120), a movable member(130), a stator(140), a contact ball(150), and a static capacity sensor(160). The probe housing(110) includes an air control hole for controlling the pressure of air and an exhaust hole for exhausting the air. The pressure control valve(120) is used for controlling the pressure of air by opening or shutting the air exhaust hole. The movable member(130) is installed at the inside of a lower side of the probe housing(110). The stator(140) is installed on an outer circumference of the movable member(130) to form an air bearing. The contact ball(150) is installed at a lower end of the movable member(130). The static capacity sensor(160) is installed at an upper portion of the inside of the probe housing(110).
