Abstract: An Au-Pd composite electrocatalyst is provided to ensure high fuel utilization of an Au catalyst and high electro-activity of a Pd catalyst, and to realize remarkable performance in DBFC by showing fuel utilization higher than the existing single catalys. An Au-Pd composite electrocatalyst for alkali boron hydride DBFC comprises a complex catalyst in which the 1~20 weight% of gold(Au) and 1~20 weight% of palladium(Pd) are dipped in a carbon support(C) in a weight ratio of 3:1 or 1:3. The Au-Pd composite electrocatalyst for alkali boron hydride DBFC uses an electrocatalyst in a working electrode and is added with thiourea fuel additives to the fuel of the fuel battery.
