Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for generating a warning horn for a vehicle is provided to install a touch panel at the center of a steering wheel and let user generate a vehicle horn by touching the touch panel, thereby offering familiarity and convenience. CONSTITUTION: A placing unit (110) is coupled to a central portion of a steering wheel of a vehicle by a fixing module. An input/output unit (130) includes a touch panel and a display module installed at the central portion of the steering wheel. A touch detection unit (150) senses a touch on the touch panel. A horn generation unit (170) controls a horn device installed within the vehicle to output a warning horn when sensing multi-touches. The loudness of the warning horn increases in proportion to one of a duration of a touch, an area of the touch, and a pressure of the touch.
