Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for hiding fingerprint data using a 3D fuzzy vault and a method and an apparatus for authenticating fingerprint data using the 3D fuzzy vault are provided to apply the fuzzy vault theory in consideration of a 3D space in order to protect bio information so as to increase the quantity of fake fingerprint information for hiding fingerprint information, and improve security without decreasing a recognition rate. A method for hiding fingerprint data using a 3D fuzzy vault includes a step of receiving an image of the fingerprint of an authenticated user using a sensing device and extracting fingerprint information including the position, angle and shape of a characteristic point from the image(510), a step of generating a polynomial having the extracted fingerprint information as a coefficient(520), a step of randomly generating fake fingerprint information composed of the position, angle and shape of the characteristic point and embedding the fake fingerprint information in the extracted fingerprint information(530) and a step of storing the polynomial and the fingerprint information in which the fake fingerprint information is embedded in a database(540).
Abstract:
A system and a method for authenticating a fingerprint by using wireless communication are provided to prevent alteration of fingerprint authentication data by strengthening data security in a wired/wireless communication section, and check data integrity of each transmission section by checking the alteration of the fingerprint authentication data in each transmission section unit. A user terminal(170) encodes fingerprint data generated by extracting feature of a user fingerprint. An AP(Access Point)(180) receives the fingerprint data by connecting to the user terminal through wireless communication and attaches a certifier to the received fingerprint data. An authentication server(190) generates an authentication result by comparing the fingerprint data including the certifier with a fingerprint stored in a database(194). The certifier is generated in the AP by using a random number generated in the authentication server. The authentication server verifies integrity of the fingerprint data attached with the certifier by using the certifier.
Abstract:
A method for inserting/detecting a double watermark and an apparatus therefor are provided to simultaneously secure integrity certification and the storage of important information to stably protect an original image. A certain image is received(211). A strong watermark is inserted into the image(212). A weak watermark is inserted into the image into which the strong watermark is inserted(213). The discrete wavelet transformation of the image is performed. A coefficient capable of inserting the strong watermark is selected among coefficients generated by the transformed result. The watermark is inserted into the selected coefficient. The inverse discrete wavelet transformation of information into which the watermark is inserted is performed.
