Abstract: PURPOSE: An ultra thin type optical scanning device for a portable information appliance is provided to scan a large area with small capacity light emitting device by minimizing light loss of the light emitting device. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device(10) generates light to detect an object. An object surface(40) reflects light of the light emitting device by being touched with the object. An imaging unit focuses the light from the object surface and transfers the focused light. A photo diode(80) forms an image using the transferred light. A re-reflecting surface(60) reflects the light from the object surface to the imaging unit. A collimating lens(20) condenses light from the light emitting unit and projects the condensed light in parallel with optical axis.

Abstract: A light-condensing device using a diffraction grating and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve integration of a light-condensing device by including a diffraction grating of a line shape. A light-condensing device(100) includes a central block(C), a first vertical diffraction grating block(VB1), a second vertical diffraction grating block(VB2), a first horizontal diffraction grating block(HB1), and a second horizontal diffraction grating block(HB2). The first vertical diffraction grating block and the second vertical diffraction grating block are positioned in right and left of the central block. The first horizontal diffraction grating block and the second horizontal diffraction grating block are positioned in top and bottom of the central block. The light-condensing device is formed by using glass, PMMA(polymethylmethacrylate), or polycarbonate. A pair of vertical diffraction grating blocks includes a plurality of vertical diffraction gratings(D-V) which is parallel to boundary lines adjacent to the central block. A pair of horizontal diffraction grating blocks includes a plurality of horizontal diffraction gratings(D-H) which is parallel to boundary lines adjacent to the central block. Abstract: PURPOSE: A concentrating lens for a LED is provided to locally illuminate a place by collecting light from a LED chip. CONSTITUTION: A non-spherical part(10) is formed in the central part of a condensing lens. A fresnel lens part(20) is formed in the outside of the non-spherical part and includes a plurality of Fresnel patterns. Abstract: A method for forming a serrated grating and a method for manufacturing a diffractive optical device are provided to improve the efficiency of a diffractive grating by forming a resin substrate using the linear serrated mold. A photoresist pattern is formed on a substrate. An etching beam is irradiated to the substrate with the photoresist pattern. The photoresist pattern and the substrate are etched by irradiating the etching beam. The mold with the grating on the surface is formed by etching the photoresist pattern and the substrate. The resin substrate with the grating is formed using the mold.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and a method for measuring motion errors of a linear stage is provided to measure 6 free motion errors of a linear stage in which a super precise operation is needed with a single equipment configuration and to efficiently inspect motion characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring motion errors of a linear stage comprises a light emitting device(10), a first beam splitter(14), a first measuring unit(20), a second measuring unit(30), and a third measuring unit(40). The light emitting unit outputs laser beams. The first beam splitter separates the beams output from the light emitting unit. The first measuring unit receives one among the beams separated by the first beam splitter, thereby measuring one-way straight linear motion errors of a linear stage. The second measuring unit measures angular motion errors and the other one-way straight linear motion errors of the linear stage by using the other beams separated from the first beam splitter and diffracted by a diffraction grid. The third measuring unit measures another one-way straight liner motion errors of the linear stage by circular-polarizing the beams refracted by the diffraction grid.
