Abstract: 본 발명은 트란스글루타미나제 억제제에 관한 발명으로서, 구체적으로는 트란스글루타미나제를 억제하는 펩타이드를 제공하고, 상기 펩타이드 또는 이를 포함하는 트란스글루타민 억제용 조성물 및 이들을 이용하여 트란스글루타미나제를 억제하는 방법, 바람직하게는 트란스글루타미나제를 억제함으로써 다양한 염증 및 암 질환을 치료하는 방법을 제공한다. 또한, 본 발명은 상기 펩타이드의 변이체를 제조하는 방법을 제공한다.
본 발명의 펩타이드 또는 이를 포함하는 약제학적 조성물은 트란스글루타미나제의 비정상적 활성에 의해 유도된 질환, 구체적으로 염증질환과 암을 효과적으로 예방 및 치료할 수 있다.

Abstract: Peptides for inhibiting transglutaminase are provided to treat and prevent diseases caused by abnormal activity of transglutaminase including inflammation and cancer by inhibiting polymerization of I-kappa Balpha, and reduce side effects caused by nonspecific inhibition of other enzymes. The peptide for inhibiting transglutaminase comprises a fragment or mutant having the continuous amino acid sequence of more than 5 amino acids derived from (i) a sequence of 11th to 30th amino acids and containing 21th and 22th lysine, (ii) a sequence of 81th to 100th amino acids and containing 87th lysine, (iii) a sequence of 151th to 200th amino acids and containing 177th lysine, (iv) a sequence of 261th to 290th amino acids and containing 266th-268th glutamine and 271th glutamine, or (v) a sequence of 301th to 317th amino acids and containing 313th glutamine of I-kappa Balpha polymer having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, wherein the peptide has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 to SEQ ID NO:14.
