Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and a method for recompensing the distortion of a lens are provided to improve capability by reducing the location information error of target. CONSTITUTION: A device for recompensing the distortion of a lens comprises an IR sensor(110), an image signal processor(120), a coordinate extraction part(130) and a distortion compensation part(140). The IR sensor comprises the large aperture infra-red system. The image signal processor processes the video signal inputted from the IR sensor. The coordinate of target from the inputted video signal is extracted from the coordinate extraction part is the image signal processor.
